  • To complement our growing range of mineral oil free and vegetable oil-based products, a full range of one-pack Pantone® Metallic sheetfed offset inks are now available under the trade name Metal-Eco.  These are the first truly mineral oil free vegetable oil-based metallic inks on the market and represent the result of joint development work with the supplier.
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks are available either from Wolstenholme directly or from their appointed agents in your own territory or, for a trial period, from the Castle Donnington super brand in the United States.
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks are available in the full range of Pantone® metallic colours from PMS871 to PMS877.  For example, Metal-Eco Pantone® Gold PMS871 is code MML001 in 1kg vac pac container.
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks are supplied in short from 1kg vac pac for the "gold" colours and a standard 1kg vac pac for the silver PMS877 as code MML007.
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks are suitable for use on the widest range of paper and board substrates such as those used in the publication, edition, sheetfed label and packaging markets. They can be used on all sheetfed offset presses and in particular will be of special interest in perfecting.
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks can be supplied to those customers looking for materials to assist in a full environmental compliance policy, including use on presses operating alcohol-free
    • SunFount™ products for use with Metal-Eco™ sheetfed offset inks from Sun Chemical
      • SunFount™  410 - Can be used with Metal-Eco™ inks on all presses where the isopropyl alcohol content in the fount is between 5-8%
      • SunFount™ 460 - This product has Active Copy Layer protection (ACP) for best performance with Metal-Eco™ inks on CTP and CTcP printing plates and when running Alcohol-free
      • SunFount™ 480 - For Low or alcohol-free printing (0-5% IPA) on all sheetfed offset presses…an excellent fount partner to Metal-Eco™ inks
    • Sun Chemical Metal-Eco inks can be coated in-line using the standard range of Sun Chemical water-based SunCoat products although use un-coated will give maximum brilliance
    • SunCoat™ products for use in in-line coating over Metal-Eco™ printing inks for added value
      • SunCoat 9283 - For the highest gloss over Metal-Eco™ inks
      • SunCoat 9223 - For good gloss with high productivity
      • SunCoat 9243 - For durable-sided printing on paper
      • SunCoat 9260 - For matt effect
      • SunCoat 9233 - For protection and sealing at highest productivity
