Sun Chemical Performance Pigments to Introduce New Colors for Cosmetics Formulators at in-cosmetics 2010

CINCINNATI, OHIO − April 1, 2010 − Visitors attending in-cosmetics 2010 on April 13-15 will be introduced to new innovative products from Sun Chemical Performance Pigments that will enhance color and effect offerings for cosmetic formulators.

“Cosmetic consumers want more choices in their makeup. They especially want more bold colors and more dazzling effects,” said Edwin B. Faulkner, Global Director of Cosmetics, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. “That’s what Sun Chemical will showcase at in-cosmetics— eye popping colors that are sure to please consumers and meet the highest purity standards and specifications of all global regulations in the market, as required by cosmetic formulators.”

Sun Chemical to Launch New Pearlescent Pigments

At in-cosmetics, Sun Chemical will introduce seven new bold effect pearlescent pigments from its INTENZATM product portfolio applicable primarily, but not exclusively, for eye area makeup.

The product extension joins the original six color shades from the INTENZA product portfolio that were introduced at in-cosmetics in 2009. Applicable primarily for nail polish, lipstick and blush, those six colors were: Razzled Rose, Haute Pink, Electric Coral, Magentitude, Plush Plum, and Amethyst Force.

Visitors of Sun Chemical’s booth #D80 will receive an INTENZA cosmetics bag.

Visitors of Sun Chemical’s Booth Can Witness More Color Choices for Makeup Needs

SunPRIZMATM, a pearlescent pigment product line from Sun Chemical that provides 10 shades of intense color and superior pearlescent luster, will also be on display at the in-cosmetics show.

Unlike most pigments manufactured, SunPRIZMA achieves excellent opacity and intense color palettes without additional blending with absorption pigments. While absorption pigments lose their color during perspiration or other similar alkaline conditions, SunPRIZMA’s pigments maintain their bold color and shiny pearlescent luster.

SunPRIZMA pigments come in 10 color shades, including: Platinum Silver, Celadon Gold, Mandarin Myst, Concord Crush, Sapphire Night, Aegean Sea, Stardust Gold, Malachite Green, Cherry Marmalade and Basalt Silver.

Sun Chemical’s SunPEARLTM complete product line of pearlescent colors and particle sizes including white, iridescent shades and metallic natural mica pearls, will also be on display, as well as its SunPEARL Shadows extension which provides intense dark interference color effects when combined with other colorants. SunPEARL Shadows comes in a variety of colors, including: silver, gold, pink, blue, green and bright gold.
