WebXtras Adds Nationwide Roller Service to its Consumables Portfolio with Rotadyne Deal for Newspaper and Heatset Sectors

London - July 15, 2004 -- WebXtras, Sun Chemical UK's market leading consumables division continues its relentless growth with the addition of a comprehensive nationwide roller service to its expanding product range. Its partner for this further step forward in creating its "total solution" concept is the well-known US roller specialist RotaDyne of Chicago.

In the UK, RotaDyne operates from a manufacturing headquarters at Kettering, Northants offering a total roller engineering and covering service for the coldset and heatset printing industries. Represented in the UK by Peter Smyth and Barry Brake Rotadyne Ltd employs 35 staff and has a turnover of over £2m. RotaDyne Inc has 17 plants worldwide and a total turnover of over $150 million.

Now WebXtras technical support teams and the company's online ordering service on
www.webxtras.co.uk will carry a full range of RotaDyne products and services. "If it has rubber on it, we'll handle it!" says Barry Brake who, with Peter Smyth, shares over 60 years of roller experience and can depend on his company's £250,000 UK stock of ready rollers for Heidelberg, Komori and Mitsubishi sheetfed presses.

"We are very pleased to have secured the RotaDyne agency." comments WebXtras Managing Director, Colin Norgate. "It no only extends our product portfolio but also enables us to offer tangible improvements in press performance by recognising potential roller problems and offering new rubber compounds from the RotaDyne range. This will give the printer demonstrable advantages over our competitors' products whether it be in the heatset or coldset web market."

The new relationship between Sun Chemical and RotaDyne sparks memories of a previous link between the two companies in the 1990s when Usher Walker Rollers operated at Silvertown in East London, later to be known as Usher Walker RotaDyne, which formed the basis of the present RotaDyne Roll Group UK..

Launched in May last year as an on-line consumables ordering service to the publication gravure, newspaper coldset and heatset magazine printing sectors, WebXtras has grown rapidly both adding to its national customer base and enhancing the management and information service available online. Available to printers round the clock WebXtras has provided an efficient one-stop service for a comprehensive product range from fount solutions to blankets, from gloves and goggles to silicones.
