Sun Chemical Adds Complementary Services to Ink Products
Amsterdam, Holland
- October 10, 2006 -- Sun Chemical has introduced a new range of 'perfectly matching' services to complement its high-performance ink products for the newspaper printing market. Together, the inks and services - covering training, consumables, value and supply - form Sun Chemical's 'next generation' Coldset Matrix™.
The Coldset Matrix™ is specifically designed to give optimised print quality for individual press requirements. It is designed to determine each client's specific demands and take into account other important parameters. From this, the ideal inks, printing consumables and services for each specific case are identified to help printers improve productivity.
Consumables
Building on its success as the principal supplier of newspaper inks in Europe, a new service has been launched called Sun Chemical Consumables. It encompasses an extensive range of fountain solutions, press washes, press chemicals and other pressroom consumables available through Sun Chemical's dedicated coldset plants throughout Europe.
Sprint™
A range of training and teaching initiatives including Print Academy, which is a modular training programme designed to give a comprehensive knowledge of the offset process. It includes a series of modules made available by Sun Chemical and partners, which include UPM, Kodak, Polestar, PIRA, IFRA and the Welsh Centre for Printing based at the University of Wales in Swansea. Others include the Sprint™ Simulator at Sun Chemical's Eurolab at Karlstein, Germany, about 40km southeast of Frankfurt.
SunVALUE™
Every printer is looking for ways to boost print quality and press productivity as a way of improving operating profit while enhancing image in the marketplace. SunVALUE™ incorporates a range of actions to help meet those goals. These include SQUIB™, a comprehensive quality enhancement and cost reduction programme; PressDoctor™ offset troubleshooting and reference guide that makes extensive use of Hypertext linkage; and SunSAVE™, which includes an in-depth review of workflow programmes.
