Sun Chemical Introduces UV TRANS™
for Transparent Window Printing
Northlake, IL
- October 24, 2007 -- Sun
Chemical introduced UV TRANS™, a new UV ink system that gives screen
printers the ability to print transparent windows and eliminate the
need for protective masking after printing is completed.
Geared toward the Hi-Tech and Automotive
industries, the UV TRANS ink system is designed for either
polycarbonate or top-coated polyester graphic overlay windows and
provides excellent clarity and printability. Thanks to the use of
automotive grade pigments, UV TRANS is extremely durable.
“The UV TRANS ink has outstanding scuff
resistance and protects the window after printing,” said Curt Baskin,
Marketing Manager, Sun Chemical’s Specialty Inks Group. “This
eliminates the use of protective masking of the windows during
transport and takes a major post-processing cost out of the
loop---saving manufacturers both money and time.”
