“Cynthia will work to develop and deploy world-class commercialization processes within the company and be responsible for generating significant top line growth,” Lucas said. “She will develop and lead a robust innovation effort and establish key research initiatives for the company.”

Additionally, Arnold will have direct accountability for Sun Chemical’s global R&D and quality organizations, and indirect accountability for global technical service organizations.

“Cynthia brings a wealth of experience to Sun Chemical and we believe she will be a tremendous asset to the company,” Hill said. “She has an extensive background in the chemicals industry, working for world-class companies and leading technical teams working on complex projects in coatings, inks, resins and plastics on a global basis.”

Arnold joins Sun Chemical from Eastman Chemical Corporation where she served as Vice President, Technology.  At Eastman, she managed global multidisciplinary R&D and technical service organizations for diverse coatings, adhesives, polymer additives and inks businesses.

“Coming to Sun Chemical is an exciting opportunity for me personally and professionally,” Arnold said. “As an industry leader, Sun Chemical has world-class people and facilities. I look forward to working with the Sun Chemical team to harness our resources and enhancing our position as the industry leader.”
