During the show, Sun Chemical will showcase many color materials and advanced materials, including new effect pigments, exciting color styling trends and a wide range of high performance and environmentally conscious resins.

Color Materials Highlights 

• Paliocrom Premium Orange L 2900 is the latest effect pigment in the Paliocrom brand family, delivering maximum chroma and brilliant metallic effects for golden-to-red premium colors. This mid-shade orange effect pigment, based on thin silver-dollar aluminum flakes coated with iron oxide, offers excellent hiding, high lightness and outstanding “flop” behavior—expanding formulation possibilities for automotive basecoats. Also on display will be Paliocrom Brilliant Ruby L 3558, a bluish-red metallic effect shade with intensified brilliance and improved hiding.

• Lumina HD Exterior Sienna S3903V and Amber S2903V are new bronze-to-copper shades in the Lumina HD high-definition mica effects line. Based on fine synthetic mica, they provide exceptional chroma, enhanced distinctness of image and subtle sparkle.

• Heliogen Green and Blue Pigments are engineered for unrivaled purity and high performance across sensitive applications, from food packaging to automotive coatings, to ensure consistent quality and durability while meeting evolving global regulations.

• Launched earlier this year, the 2-Wheeler Styling Show for motorcycle coatings will be showcased to demonstrate the extended possibilities of color space expansion with pigment innovations. The styling show’s three themes of Extreme Ambition, Ultimate Lifestyle and True Commitment offer added value and color enhancement for motorcycle aesthetics.

• Visitors of ABRAFATI 2025 can experience Sun Chemical’s Pigment Finder digital tool, which provides access to a growing database of Product Carbon Footprint Statements, as well as technical and regulatory documents. The PigmentViewer App will also be available for realistic, 360-degree visualization of effect and color pigments.

Advanced Materials Highlights 

• WATERSOL AC is a line of water-based emulsions and dispersions with outstanding direct adhesion to plastics, metals, glass and wood, suitable for primer, basecoat, topcoat and single-layer applications.

• BLUEPUR is a range of water-based polyurethane dispersions designed for wood and plastic coatings, as well as laminating inks for packaging films, offering high film hardness, flexibility and chemical resistance.

• HYDRAN and HYDRAN GP are sustainable, water-based polyurethane resins for plastic film treatment and artificial leather production, delivering excellent adhesion, reduced carbon footprint compared to solvent-based polyurethane resins, and amine-free formulations.

• The HYDRORENE line of low monomer, hydro-dispersible polyisocyanates enhances water-based film performance, providing high gloss and ease of application.

• POLURGREEN BT are low-VOC, renewable raw material-based polyisocyanates for green building and other sustainable coatings applications.

• Low-viscosity and VOC-free, POLYASPARTIC SYSTEMS offer fast curing, excellent lightfastness and high performance, even at low temperatures.

• CERANATE is a polysiloxane-acrylic hybrid resin that works as a technical alternative to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) with superior durability, weatherability and anti-graffiti properties, available in both waterborne and solventborne systems.
