Sun Chemical to Highlight Colorful Innovations for Cosmetics at New York Suppliers’ Day 2025
PARSIPPANY, N.J., USA – May 1, 2025 – Sun Chemical will showcase new, bold and electrifying colors for the cosmetics industry under their “Beauty is colorful. We are the color experts.” campaign at New York Suppliers’ Day 2025.
“We’re excited to connect with our customers at the largest tradeshow for the cosmetics industry in North America,” said Ed Webb, Global Director of Cosmetics, Sun Chemical. “Through Sun Chemical’s technical expertise and comprehensive portfolio of high purity pigments and innovative effect pigments, we hope to inspire more innovation and product development in the cosmetics and personal care industries.”
At booth 2113, Sun Chemical will highlight the Chione Electric line of high chroma, metallic-like vegan effect pigments. Created with patented technology and globally approved as color additives for cosmetics, skin, body and sun care, Chione Electric Scarlet SR90D is an intense red shimmering effect pigment and Chione Electric Sienna SC90D is a bright copper shimmering effect pigment with enhanced chroma. The UV stability, non-staining and non-bleeding properties of these effect pigments give formulators easy-to-use solutions to create vegan, carmine-free products.
Sun Chemical will also showcase C19-A520 SunCROMA D&C Red 7 Ca Salt. This improved Red 7 Ca Salt toner is an intense, bold red color with high opacity and dispersibility. Benefitting from the optimized manufacturing process in place at Sun Chemical’s plant in Muskegon, Mich., this toner offers enhanced color intensity, quality and consistency.
With the rising trend of multifunctional cosmetics with skincare benefits, Sun Chemical will display its range of radiant Timica Terra effect pigments. These natural mica-based effect pigments are designed to create skin tone shades with built-in radiance and satin coverage. Their high loadings of iron oxides provide excellent coverage and require no milling or grinding to streamline manufacturing processes. Made with ethically sourced 100% USA mica, Timica Terra effect pigments create natural-looking, lustrous complexion shades.
