Sun Chemical Showcases Solutions for Corrugated Printing at CorrExpo 2025
PARSIPPANY, N.J., U.S.A. – October 20, 2025 – Highlighting its comprehensive portfolio of corrugated printing solutions, Sun Chemical is exhibiting this week at CorrExpo 2025, taking place October 20–22 in Savannah, Ga.
Sun Chemical’s presence at CorrExpo 2025 builds on its continued investment in R&D and full-solutions approach, enabling converters to source inks, coatings, adhesives and color management services for corrugated applications from a single, trusted partner.
“Converters are asking for partners who can help them print clearly, run reliably and waste less, and Sun Chemical’s corrugated portfolio is designed to meet that demand” said Andrew Brooks, Water Based Inks and Coatings Product Manager, Sun Chemical. “At CorrExpo, we’re demonstrating how our range of corrugated printing and pressroom solutions help converters print with greater confidence, maintain productivity and improve sustainability, all supported by our technical teams who understand the daily challenges of corrugated printing.”
Visitors to booth #825 can explore Sun Chemical’s most recent offerings for the corrugated market, including:
- Water-based Inks: Sun Chemical is highlighting SunVisto, a family of pH-stable, water-based inks tailored for corrugated printers who need reliable color consistency and smooth press performance. These inks deliver fast-dry capability, broad GCMI strength coverage and specialized formulations that reduce downtime, improve substrate coverage and extend plate life.
- Digital Inkjet Inks: Sun Chemical’s digital inks division SunJet supports DigiVisto water-based inkjet inks, developed to meet the evolving needs of corrugated packaging. Combining water-based, UV and mineral oil-free formulations, DigiVisto enables high-definition graphics, supports food-safe compliance, and ensures seamless digital integration across presses.
- Coatings for Corrugated: Visitors can explore SunSys Vallocoat water-based coatings and SunCure UV-curable inks and coatings for both pre- and post-print corrugated applications. The coatings offer temperature resistance (pre-print) and are COF stable (pre- and post-print), including non-skid. These solutions enhance resistance to scuff, rub and moisture while supporting brand owners with packaging that remains both durable and visually impactful across distribution cycles.
- Sustainable Solutions for Corrugated: Sun Chemical’s portfolio of sustainable solutions for corrugated includes inks and coatings that are low VOC, low migration and food-safe and that do not interfere with the recycling of the package. The innovative SunVisto AquaGreen water-based inks, which are formulated with significantly higher levels of bio-renewable resin content compared to other previous market offerings from Sun Chemical, are designed with patented technology based on naturally derived and biorenewable materials to deliver the required critical performance attributes needed across a range of fiber-based packaging applications. AquaGreen inks can utilize current colorants to enable ease of implementation without compromising end-use or on-press performance, reducing waste. They also offer outstanding print fidelity and ink resolubility on press, quick set up for in-line converting, and high levels of resistance properties to rub, abrasion, water and grease.
- Laser Marking Coatings: Designed for modern packaging workflows, SunLase advanced laser-marking coatings allow converters to apply variable data, such as barcodes and QR codes, at the latest stage of production. This enables shorter runs, flexible coding and reduced inventory to improve both efficiency and sustainability.
- Anilox cleaning solutions: The SunVisto Anilox Cleaning Program offers a range of cleaners designed to maintain consistent print quality and extend the life of anilox rolls. SunVisto Power Scrub 65F is formulated for everyday use, SunClean AutoWash 200 integrates with automatic cleaning systems, and SunVisto Anilox Renew 65F delivers periodic deep cleaning that rejuvenates aniloxes and removes stains to restore peak performance.
- Color Management Tools: The SunColorBox ecosystem gives printers the ability to communicate and control color digitally with accuracy and speed. This easy-to-use portfolio of tools, like SunDigiGuide and SunDigiProof, streamline approvals, ensure consistency across locations and substrates, and reduce waste linked to manual press errors.
